DD15 derated to 5 MPH after regen
Hi This Morning my truck asked for regan while i was driving. I parked my truck and start the regan. It was working for 25 mintues and then check engine and check light came on and regan stopped. Now i tried to move but on dashboard its saying Engine in derate to 5MPH per hour. Help me what to do now
Is there any fault codes showing up on your dashboard something like SPN 0000 Fmi 00
Let me honest here most of the times when pump's speed is more than 1800rpm is most likely bad def pump. Ask him to check any def hoses leaking. Check if doser valve is not contaminated. Or any lines freeze. If everything is fine then replacing pump will be the solution.
Yes there is spn 5246 fmi 15 Spn 5246 fmi 0 Spn 5246 fmi 16 Spn 4374 fmi 0. I had service call and the mechanic said its def pump
Did he check pump speed if its exceeding more that 1500 rpm then he need some basic check before replacing def pump since its cost is arround 900$CAD
He did checked and the speed is 2250 rpm.
Replaced pump now speed is arroumd 1300RPM. But there is code that is not going away. DEF Inducement DEF Lamp Active
It will not go aways on its own and your truck will stay in derate if you dont fix it. There is 2 ways to do it. 1st. Try doing regan . It can go away 1st regan pass or sometimes needs to do it 2 or 3 times. 2nd. If it still doesn't go away then you need it to program it. We charge 250$ and we can do it with team viewer remotely. I suggest you to go with doing regan first.

Yes. We did regan and you were right the inducement didn't go away on first regan. We did it again and it went away. Thanks for the help.
